Praise God. Am sooo encouraged and learnt a lot about praying for others. The 1st part has been dealt with, i.e my belief in Jesus’ power to heal.
The second part is if sickness is mostly brought by demons; doesn’t it mean that the demon is in my body or..the demon just throws the sickness on me and….leave. I have always thought that I get the demon on me and since it is on me laying hands on another will be like asking the demon thats on me to heal the person- which can’t happen.

Hello, I am a struggling Christian. I am a functioning alcoholic and find it difficult to give up, since my husband is also an alcoholic. I can blame my drinking on a turbulent childhood with an alcoholic mother and abuse. I can also blame it on the death of my son, sister and best friend all in the same year a couple of years ago. However, I drink because I have an addiction. I want to give it up. Please pray for me and my husband.

Hi Ian, the discipline of fasting can be a useful tool in helping us to personally learn reliance on God’s gracious provision. As with all the Christian disciplines we must be careful not to misuse or misunderstand fasting as a way of ‘persuading God’ in some way – the aim of fasting is simply to be fully satisfied with Him. It’s from this position of inner faith that the power of God can overflow to touch others. We practice fasting (whether from food, TV, social media etc..) as the Holy Spirit leads. Bless you as you pursue the things of God.

A few years ago I was visiting my daughter and I went on Sunday to her church. While there, the pastor asked who would like to pray for a lady with back pain. I have experienced a lot of that being I was medically retired from my career because of a back injury. So, I went right up to pray with others asking Jesus to help that lady. I did not realize until later that my own back had received healing while I was praying for someone else; not myself! Pray God!

Hi Rob, I am challenged at the moment to be serious about fasting and praying to bring about the power of God in my life and to get answered prayer apparently more than just praying without fasting.
Do you practice fasting and praying in your healing ministry.
