Hi Dawn, you mean this example of healing from Luke’s gospel: ‘”But say the word, and let my servant be healed. For I too am a man set under authority, with soldiers under me: and I say to one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.” When Jesus heard these things, he marveled at him, and turning to the crowd that followed him, said, “I tell you, not even in Israel have I found such faith.” And when those who had been sent returned to the house, they found the servant well.’ Luke 7:8-10. In this case the soldier himself defined the principle of divine authority (for healing) and was commended by Jesus for his spiritual understanding and faith. This passage also shows that spiritual authority to heal is not limited by physical proximity since it is a work of the Holy Spirit (who is omnipresent).

Yes Diane, that’s right. There’s no ‘formula’ in the words, it’s a spiritual confidence or faith in God to heal expressed as a command of healing. Bless you too!

The way I understand healing…
I must forgive others, ask for forgiveness, command illness to leave in Jesus’ name. For instance, if I have a sickness, call that sickness by its name. Let’s say, a cold or flu. I would pray, spirit of cold, I command you to leave my body now in the name of Jesus. Or in the name of Jesus you must flee. Or say, Diane’s body be healed on a cellular level from top to bottom inside and out, in Jesus’ name.
Am I correct in praying for healing this way?
Thank you, Rob for your ministry and teachings.

Agree, look for blockages. Many times in those cases healing didn’t occur it can very well be because the person was holding on to unforgiveness and bitterness that had not been dealt with. God is very clear about our place to forgive others, regardless of the situation—For heinous sins against “us”, God will give us His grace so that we can forgive when we do not have it in ourselves to do so (2 COR. 12:7-10, even more amazing teaching when viewed in the greek). Once that is dealt with, healing then took place. His Word is our lamp…

Maybe the answer lies in Acts 19:11-12 “God did extraordinary miracles through Paul, so that even handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched him were taken to the sick, and their illnesses were cured and the evil spirits left them.”
Working overseas in South Africa at the time, I received an email requesting urgent prayer for a retired US Army Padre who has served in Korea – Dave a brother in Christ. Our church prayed fervently, he got worse, was hospitalized. Reading the above scripture one morning I was impressed to do something similar but in a more technological way. The church anointed a small cloth and laying hands on it prayed for healing. I scanned the cloth and emailed it with the instructions to print out the scan, place it on Dave’s head and pray again for healing. He recovered rapidly from that moment, soon coming home from hospital. It is God Who heals, pray believing and He will do the rest.

Far from it , this country needs more itinerant ministries to break the religious strangle hold the churches have on looking inward and not going out preaching and teaching the Kingdom of God to everyone, not imputing their sins against them but healing the sick and doing signs and wonders.
If we turned our backs on the world and gave up our idols of uncleanness and impurities then our amazing, compassionate (of loyal love and forgiveness) God would be fully revealed and be revealed by us to be a Father that truly cares. See 2 Cor 6:16 – 18

Lets abide continually in Christ and have His voice abide in us that He may give us all that we ask for .

Our church leaders may not be doing this. Lets follow Christ as this couple are trying to do. There are 60 millions souls to be saved before the Great Tribulation.

Why? Is looking good the key to a spirit filled life? What’s a scar or two? I have 43 of them. They remind me of how he looks after me me. I have escaped death 19 times – that I know of… that is faith living because of purpose. Perfection in the flesh is ok, but what’s the purpose of that for you? To feel better about yourself? If that is the case you need more than physical healing if you understand the point. Seek that first and the rest will come.
