Fear and anxiety can cause many illnesses and can kill you. I\u2019ve known people who have worried so much about getting cancer or some other disease that they have ended up getting the very thing they worried about.<\/p>\n
In ancient times there was a man named Job (pronounced Jobe) who was wealthy and blessed in every way and seemed to have everything going for him, but then things changed and he had terrible calamities befall him. He lost everything; his family members died and he himself was very sick.<\/p>\n
This truth has the potential to change your life<\/strong><\/p>\n I\u2019ve had people ask me about Job. \u201cHe was a God-fearing man and God let satan take away everything he had and make him sick, so what do you say to that?\u201d I encourage them to read this verse in Job, where Job himself says, \u201cWhat I feared has come upon me, what I dreaded has happened to me\u201d (Job 3:25).<\/strong><\/em> From this statement, we see that Job feared the worst. The enemy (and his evil spirits) can only have power in your life if you come into agreement with him. Job must have come into agreement with the enemy\u2019s plan for his life; to steal, kill and destroy him and his family. The Bible says that satan went to God and asked permission to attack Job. God let him, because Job was in agreement with satan. However, God would not permit Job to be killed. Perhaps Job wasn\u2019t in agreement with the devil\u2019s plans for that to happen, but what he did fear, satan was permitted to carry out.<\/p>\n If you can get this revelation about the power of agreement it could change your life. If we come into agreement with satan\u2019s plan for our lives, God has ordained that what we fear will be fulfilled. The Bible says, \u201cThe highest heavens belong to the Lord but the earth He has given to mankind\u201d (Psalm 115:16).<\/strong><\/em> God has given us authority over what happens on the earth (see Genesis 1:28).<\/p>\n God has a good plan for your life<\/strong><\/p>\n If we come into agreement with God\u2019s good plan, we will see that fulfilled in our lives as we keep following Jesus and submitting to Him and His ways. Jesus said, \u201cTruly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them\u201d (Matthew 18:18-20).<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n This is powerful stuff and you really need to get this. Think about it. The enemy often works like this: An evil spirit comes to you but is very subtle. You come across news articles or social media posts about the likelihood of you developing a serious disease or you have a genetic history of something in your family, or you google symptoms that you are experiencing in your body.<\/p>\n Your mind latches onto those \u2018facts\u2019 or possibilities and the evil spirit whispers to you that perhaps you have that disease or could do so in the future. You don\u2019t realize it\u2019s an evil spirit as it seems to be your own rational thoughts, seemingly real symptoms or even words from a person you respect. You read stories or hear doctor\u2019s advice to go for certain tests or to check yourself out regularly. Each time you do this, you think something may be found, and you begin to worry. You start to imagine the scenario in your head and begin to plan what you would do. While all this is happening, you are coming into agreement with that spirit of fear, that lying demon which is manifesting in your mind or your body.<\/p>\n Why do bad things keep happening?<\/strong><\/p>\n We just read the Scripture that if two agree on earth about something, it will be done. You can bind something and stop it from happening and you can agree and cause it to happen. This can occur for good or for evil. Jesus said that He would be there when we come into agreement with Him, but the converse could also be true. Evil spirits are attracted when we come into agreement with the enemy. Not only can you empower an evil spirit in your life, but it can attract its cronies too, and you may find that one thing after another is coming against you.<\/p>\n So just as with Job, if you come into agreement with a demon that such and such may happen to you or you may have such and such in your mind or your body, that demon then has permission to make it happen. Because God has put earthly things under our authority, even God will not prevent that thing from happening if we\u2019ve come into agreement with it. In His wisdom, God has made us extremely powerful in this way. You may be begging God to free you or heal you of something, but if you\u2019re the one that has agreed with the evil spirit that caused the problem in the first place, then you\u2019re the one who has to deal with it.<\/p>\n It’s your Choice!<\/strong><\/p>\n As with most things, you have a choice. You can choose to disagree with those thoughts or so called \u2018facts\u2019 and \u2018bind\u2019 them from having any power. You can choose to believe that God\u2019s word is true, that what Jesus did and said was not just for two thousand years ago, but He is the living word and is still powerful today.
